Story of the film

The association Made auf Veddel stands for integration and upscale haute-couture by the designer Sibilla Pavenstedt.

The starting point of the project “Made of Veddel” was the idea of promoting the skills of immigrant women, showing respect for their abilities, promoting further education for the women and enabling them to earn their own income.

For Doppelplusultra, the cooperation began with the description of this idea by Sibilla Pavenstedt in our offices: to capture the beginning of the project on film; with that thought began a journey together from 2009 until today. It is an ongoing documentary accompaniment that is constantly evolving, just like the project itself.

Many highlights were created, e.g. at Aurubis, in the Energiebunker Hamburg, or in Hamburg City Hall. Each was recorded in separate films, the event management and coordination of which Kerstin Reich has been responsible for since 2013.
