Synopsis

Many of the small villages in Siberia cannot be reached by road. Forest fires have destroyed temporary roads and made the terrain muddy. The Russian postal service uses mounted messengers to make deliveries there in the summer. Once a month, 53-year-old postman Andrian Chromov makes the 150-kilometre journey to deliver mail and essentials to the last inhabitants of the small villages. This time he faces a special challenge: his horse Pyatak has run away. He hopes to find him again on the way in the taiga.
